Back in the early nineties I was sales manager at the local Honda/Yamaha dealership here in Montgomery. I was approached by Triumph who wanted us to take on their new line of bikes. As a matter of fact, they flew me to England for a tour of their (then) state of the art production facility. It was impressive.. the bikes were impressive… HOWEVER they scheduled their “THE BRITISH ARE COMING” launch on the fourth of July – not realizing how sacred that day is to patriotic Americans..(and you know who you are)

How can Triumph skip Chicago? We are a major market with 3 Triumph dealers and a lot of riders. It’s a 5 hour drive to Detroit or Minneapolis. This makes no sense as we used to have one of the largest IMS shows here. They made a big mistake.
